The National Home Improvement Council has awarded Kenyon its Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Achievement in Encouraging Home Improvement.
The achievement centres around innovative and high quality works carried out to Grade ii listed Kent House, a social housing complex in north London. The refurbishment contract included installation of replacement windows and doors and external refurbishment. The client, SPH Housing, recommended Kenyon for the award.
The project brief was to deliver significant safety improvements, improved energy efficiency and high levels of resident satisfaction, all within budget and to a tight schedule. Additionally, the project team needed to manage the challenges posed by close neighbouring properties, access roads adjacent to site, fully occupied flats, listed building planning consents and restricted site set-up space.
Success was achieved through the careful management of these and other project parameters.
Richard Stone, Operations Manager for the Kent House project said; "It was great to receive such prestigious acknowledgement from the industry for all the hard work the team put into this project".
More information about the project can be found in our Kent House news article on this website.
