Twelve Kenyon staff members have completed the ILM Level 3 Introductory Certificate in First Line Management.
Their ages ranged from 25 to 62 years, supporting the adage - you’re never too old to learn.
Marion Wills, Kenyon’s Accounts Manager and Group Secretary, attended the course. She said; "Having such a mix of ages added extra interest and brought different perspectives to bear on topics.”
The course was modular in structure, covering issues such as Time Management, Planning Change, Managing Diversity, Effective Communication, and Understanding Customer Needs.
Zane Heasman, Head of Estimating, noted; "At a time when some companies are reluctant to take on older staff members, it's good to see an organisation willing to recruit and train its staff regardless of age".
Elsewhere, staff were granted time off work for training in IT Skills, English, Maths, First Aid, and various Health & Safety and other work-related issues.
